update so far, wed was free day, settled some admin stuff with the international student service centre in the morn, headed down to darling harbour aft tt. aft being in sydney for almost 1 wk, i still dunno how to navigate my way around, such a failure...anyway, whilst in darling harbour, me & my mum visited the renowned sydney fish market. there was tons of fresh and cooked seafood available there. my mum went crazy, she bought so much food!! grilled lobster, silverfish, cuttlefish rings, fish, and seafood fried rice!! oh my, it's no wonder i'm feeling so much bigger in size now!! nonetheless, the food was great, esp the fried rice, it was so delicious i couldn't stop eating it!!

yst was enrollment day, so we were pretty much stuck on campus. we did some grocery shopping at the nearby shopping centre (which seems to be growing smaller with every visit) and returned back sometime in noon for my enrollment session which lasted almost 3 hrs!! finally i got my coveted student ID card!! i enrolled for chinese lessons too!! haha, sounds so ridiculous, but it's to cover myself cos i heard tt acturial is damn tough, so i'm hoping chinese will pull up my GPA grade!! lol, hope it'll work!! chinese, here i come!!!!!! lol, it's going to be so fun, and my chinese lecturer is an ang moh!!! hahaha

there was an academic orientation tdy. my entire fac was the largest fac in the entire campus, so i only got to meet abt 10 ppl in my group from the fac. it was a pretty nice gathering. met this peruvian girl (whose mum is of canton descent), a mauritian, a chinese, and a taiwanese. we juz stood around and made small chat during lunch. it was a pretty unique encounter. haha, multi-cultural env man. did a bit more grocery shopping aftward cos my mum discovered a CHEAPER grocery shop so she decided to bring me there.

the weather's getting warmer now, and showers aren't expected till next wed, which is terribly good news. hope the weather holds up as expected!! till then, ciao :)

tonight's my last night in singapore. everything still feels very surreal...

the past few days were simply amazing!!

sat night was a family gathering at raffles town club. my uncles, auntie and grandma all made me so touched. i suddenly feel so indebted to everyone!! i'll buy them loads of presents when i get back from aussie. and for their sake, i muz try to study even harder!!

sun was fantabulous! me, den, fel & ck went to sentosa!! why din we think of going there earlier?! we're still as smart as ever, managed to find a clever way to sneak thru the admissions and save on the entrance fee!! we're plain geniuses!! we went to the beach, took loads of pics, played bridge, watched a parrot show, had choc fondue...we shud, no, MUST have more of such outings in future!!

mon - met up with lisa, val, dot, jas, serene, zy at scotts to play bridge and do some catching up. then, it was dinner with den and gang again. aft dinner, it was time to take respond to our photo-taking urge. we took loads of neoprint at heeren!! bek came over aftward, took my 1st neoprint with her!! haha, it was so shiok, neoprint aft neoprint-click click click! drove my mum's car to den's house next to sleepover. we played some daidee b4 heading to cheong chin nam for supper-milo dino & indian rojak!

tue- coming back from den's house, i thot i was a damn smart-super ego me- once again to be able to sneak the car out without my mum's knowledge. but my sis let me in tt my mum actually knows tt i took the car out cos she was preparing to go out b4 i got back and realised the key was missing...but she din mention anything abt it, so i'm keeping shuush too!! anyway, i finally embarked on my packing today!! the list seems endless!! at least i got all the clothes inside alr!! met bek for dinner again, juz got back not too long ago.

everything seems to be happening so quickly. so little time, so many things i want to do. terrible. and in abt 20 hrs time, it's bye bye singapore. oh my, can time juz standstill for a while?? i'm enjoying life now, i dun wan it to go away so soon...

one thing tt's worrying me is my mum. i'm worried tt she'll get too lonely back in singapore and let her thots run wild. second thing tt's worrying is her forgetfulness! i've never seen her make such mistakes b4, it's scaring me...

we finally went to east coast yst, aft post-poning it for so long. dot and val came along too, though lisa din make it in the end. it's been ages since i met val, partly cos uk's at the other end of the world and she doesn't get to come back very often. val was our true beginner; zy and ed both bladed b4. wa, i muz say i admire her for not giving up after falling so many times!! it must really hurt. her knees and elbows were bleeding at the end of the day...ouch...

zy's still her crazy old self, our clown, our souce of entertainment. dot's also not changed much, except for her longer, highlighted hair i guess. val's the same too, bubbly and chatty. ed too. guess they all haven't changed much over the years, except zy's crazier than b4.

anyway, i hope all of them will come to aus to visit sometime soon, maybe during the term break or something...den we can all rent a car together, taking turns to drive and explore the whole of aus!! tt'll be so fun!! haha, we can drive to melbourne to pick serene up or vice versa b4 heading on to our aussie round trip!! wahhhh...it'll be super super fun!!!!!!!! haha...

1 wk countdown.

i haven't started packing my luggage yet!! my mum's starting to panic abt the very little time i have left...ah, i'll start on it, SOON!! i still have my room to pack, which i started a few days back, but nothing much is really packed yet; it still looks as messy as it always did. i'm coming down with a flu from the dust attack while packing my room. tt's juz how long all the stuff in my room have been left untouched. argh..i really wan to juz throw this task to someone else and pretend it never existed, but some things require tt personal touch. haha :)

it's the post-wimbledon, post-WC period now...everything seems to be slowing down. there's nothing really exciting on tv to look forward to now...hence, i'm turning to my next fav past-time: eating!! i'm cleaning out all the food on the table every night, everything juz goes into my stomach. sigh...i shudn't be piling on weight now, tt shud be left for aus!!

ok, ideas running dry, maybe it's a signal tt i shud go clear out my room now, or it'll never be completed...

henin LOST!!!!!!!! oh my goodness!!!!!!!! i can't believe it!!!!!!! she lost to mauresmo!!!!!! wad happened!!!!!! mauresmo is darn bloody lucky!!!!!!!!!! henin retired at the aus open final earlier this yr to give the title to her...and now, she made so many unforced errors!! all mauresmo had to do is juz hit the ball back to her to make a mistake!!!!!!!!! arghhhhhhhh....it's ok, henin will come back evn stronger next yr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let's hope federer prevails today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tdy's my grandpa's 49th day since he passed on. my dad was absent as usual. i could tell my mum and aunt still missed him a lot. my mum went to the market yst early in the morning to buy his fav sweet glutinous rice to bai him. she still can't accept the fact tt he's left alr...haiz...

aft lunch, we went back to my uncle's house to get our car. as we were saying our goodbyes, this car next to us suddenly zoomed off!! to our surprise, there was a family of cats taking shelter beneath the car!! so shit!! i feel so horrible, standing there like an idiot, not being able to help the cats. the idiot ran over one of the kitten; its eyeball fell out, and aft a few purrs, it died. the other kitten was scooting all around the carpark in pain!!! and the mother juz laid there, next to the dead kitten, purring away. i felt so sorry for her, she was practically crying over her child, and she wouldn't stop purring!! i wanted to do something for her, but wad could i do?? if anything, i only wanna tell the driver wad he did. such a tragic incident to witness. argh...

well, a mistake made cannot be erased. no explanations offered. repercussions for shutting up

feeling rather anti-social these few days. only wan to coop myself up at home. wad's coming over me?! my hp's batt's flat, but i'm not bothered to charge it. i feel so at ease tt it's off, the serenity it brings...

germany vs italy match last night was a roller-coaster ride!! i crawled out of bed for that match. initially, it was super boring. no goals at all up till full time, and even in extra time. i was supporting italy, but as time wore on, my faith began to drop. cos italy sucks at penalty shootout, while germany excels at it!! so if italy din strike soon, that's it!! haha...and at the 29th min in extra time, when almost all hope disappeared, italy struck!! hahaha...miracle!! i was overjoyed i started screaming!! haha...i guess this came as a shock to the germans as well, because they let in another goal in the next couple of seconds!! haha, the 2nd goal was better crafted, and at the 30th min even!! wa, i laughed all the way to bed!! i couldn't sleep till almost an hr after the match ended!! lol...tonight will be a tougher match. let's just hope it'll be another goalless draw eh?!! haha..

wimbledon's ending this wkend, and so is world cup!! life will be extremely boring after that...

the weekend juz flew past again. sat was bbq at serene's house. the bread and red peppers were delicious!! haha...tt woman can really eat. she ate for a whole 2 hours and still wasn't satisfied! haha..if only i had an appetite like hers!! i'll just eat my way throughout singapore!!

sun was dinner at alicia's house. haha...a lot of ppl turned up...nice gathering. everyone had to make/bring some dish. alicia's mum made shepherd's pie, pear made agar agar, grace bought apple's shrudel, shuk&shun made some cocktail satay stick, chia ying made pasta!! haha, i brought my stomach!! it was really quite fun to meet all of them again. we played mahjong aft tt, in pairs. not tt shuk, shun or manling needed any help. pear and grace paired up to go against the 3 pros. haha...alicia worked with shuk, while i observed more than aided manling. haha, chia was seated with shun who was trying to teach her the game without revealing too much of her tiles. lol:) aft tt, we made grace send us all to the most convenient bus stop. haha, it's so great to have a fren who has a license and a car!!

ok, wkend's over. my sis is off these 2 days, youth day and common test. and she had fri off too!! how lucky...why weren't we given such a long break after common test too?! grrr
