it's been 5 days in sydney. the weather's cold and rainy, occasional sun pops out to wave hi. it's a pretty nice change from the hot humid sg sun, though this is the rare few times i actually miss it. shops here close at 5, 5.30, which coincides with the sunset time, not on purpose. so aft 5, me & my mum will juz head back to the room to rest for the night.
juz a short update on life here so far. i went for orientation last fri, 21st jul. it was a short 1.5 hr talk, telling us who to look for in case of emergency or any queries & all the enrollment stuff. it was pretty much a waste of time, and tdy, i realised tt i could have joined in the postgrad orientation which was held today. argh, my poorly-informed agent again! anyway, me & my mum went to chinatown, paddy's market on sat and bondi beach on sun. did loads of shopping at chinatown, bought lots of chinese food there as well. sun was beach hr. the sun was out, the weather, perfect. met a few international students over the past few days; 1 is an indon girl who's only 18 this yr, doing commerce as well, the other's a boy (18 yrs too) who's living at my hostel and doing my course. haha, tt's great cos at least i'll have company back to hostel in future, and someone i can ask if i dunno any homework!! helps tt he looks the really hardworking sort!! the food at hostel is juz, very western. toast, yoghurt, cereal, bacon, ham, sunny sides for bfast, steak for dinner...having fun with all the winter wear now, though it can take a much longer time to dress up in the mornings than usual. hats, scarves, beanies...can't imagine myself wearing the beanie in sg!! tt's abt it for now, gotta head to campus to settle the enrollment stuff tmr...
anyway, thanks to everyone who came to the airport to send me off!! it was so nice to see everyone together b4 leaving. my uncle, aunt & cousins all took time off to send me off.
to alicia: hope you have a safe trip to uk too! sorry won't be able to see you off...we'll meet up again in dec when we both get back ya?
to pear: my best hc fren...i'll miss ya!!
to val, dot & jas: thanks for coming, and for the cookbooks. i'll try to use them as often as i can!! haha :)
to ck: thx for ur card!! haha...i'll miss chilling out with you at nights!
to fel: study hard, future pharmacist!! i'll miss you too
to den: take care ya, can always phone or mail me anytime!! miss you too

the slack one went to rest at 4:59 AM
