merry x'mas to all!

this x'mas is by far the best x'mas i've had!! haha...

we had a family gathering at RTC, booked 2 rooms from the 24th to 26th. fel, toh, den & sis, and ck all came along to join in!!! we played bowling, lots of cards, arcade games, slept on the hard carpet floor, suffered from slp deficiency, caught a flu etc...and we took a lot of pics over the past 3 days!! i've got over 200 pics on my cam alone, and tt doesn't include those on den's camera yet!!

the toilets at RTC were fabulous! they were so unproportionately big and spacious! and there was a jacuzzi which i'll try the next time we book the room again...first night, fel, toh, den & sis and me squeezed together on the floor of the living room together. alric, lynette & shannon came over to chat with us in the middle of the night (cos they "couldn't" sleep). haha, they were all kept awake (except for den's sis) with our incessant chatter & gossip. it was early morning b4 they finally went to bed...and yet, they were the first to wake up the next day! why don't we possess their energy levels?!

on the 2nd day, we juz slacked ard till bowling time...aft bowling, we played ard in the bedroom b4 fel & toh left. the 3 of us went over to the other rooms to take more pics...haha...we celebrated alric's birthday in advance for him. ck left aft havin the cake. only den stayed for the 2nd night. luckily we were asleep by the time the kids came over to talk to us...whew, narrow escape...next day, aft checking out, they all came over to my house. it was pouring the entire day, so we couldn't do much.

brought the kids over to kap for ice-cream aft lunch. den left afterwards and i did some baking with the kids. haha, or rather, i juz stood ard to supervise while my sis got dirty with them...hee hee :) they finally went home ard 11 plus aft being chased by my uncle & auntie...

i'm uploadin the pics now...it'll take a few hrs to upload everything...omg..haha, think i can go take an afternoon nap while waiting for it to finish...

i'm counting down to dinner time now...and i'm starving alr!

anyway, time just flies by and x'mas is just round the corner. i love this period of the year, x'mas followed by chinese new year shortly after. festive season filled with tons of holidays, presents and money!! haha :)

didn't really accomplish a lot the past few days since i returned from KL. i had to clear the luggage aft so many days of procrastination; luckily i can skip the task of laundry washing myself. haha. oh ya, i bought a new badminton racket in KL though i've got tons of rackets alr. but the offer was really too good to pass up. it was on 50% discount and when you convert the price from ringgit into sg dollar, the temptation is even greater!! haha, so there, gotta find some time soon to go restring it. lol :)

tues was shopping day, despite the continuous pouring rain. i've never seen it pour for so many days b4, but the rain keeps the place cool and windy, so not much complains. met up with beks to do some x'mas shopping, den we met up with fel and future-nephew-to-be. we spent over an hr at NUM in heeren's because we had a hard time deciding which shirt design to get. afterwards, we had dinner together at sakae b4 fel & nephew came over to my house. haha, then it was time to hit the roads....to changi!! haha, in the dark and pouring rain, we drove to nsrcc to pass den her specs. cos of time constrains, we passed up having supper...den i sent them back b4 making my own way back. it was a really thrilling experience, drivin the dark & rain!! lol :) and almost everyone, with the exception of taxi drivers, were driving at turtle speed, haha, just like me!! better safe than sorry right?!

yst was juz spent idling ard. was supposed to meet my fren for dinner, but the car wasn't available...oh well, another day when the car is available then...haha

back from KL!

my dad booked this hotel NEXT to midvalley megamall!! omg, the location's amazing, juz a small corridor and we're at the mall alr. everyday was pretty routine, haha. eat, sleep, shop. i feel the pinch for my parents. esp so cos my sis SUDDENLY decided to revamp her wardrobe! ouch!! she went into a shopping frenzy! can't believe her! haha...but i'm damn glad i'm overseas once in a while, otherwise her nonsense & tantrums will drive me nuts! she's trying to lose weight now, so whenever the topic of food is brought up, she becomes extremely sensitive, and will show a black face as and when she feels like it. she even covers her ears when my mum talks to her. such insolence!

my dad was chasing us home tdy cos he had some work to do. and it was pouring heavily too...

ok, tt's just a quick update for now...

i'll be away in KL for 4 days from tmr. tt translates to NO internet for 96 hrs! ultimate deprivation! haha...

i met up with ck, den & fel for dinner & movie earlier. got my dad to pick them up along the way b4 heading to den's house. aft catching project superstar, we went to watch "happy feet". omg, it was such a disappointment. it fell way below my expectations and the reviews i got from others. luckily we din catch it at the movies...money poorly spent! aftward, it was den's turn to send us all back!! haha...it's really damn fun having frens armed with a car & license to go with it. i gotta admit i'm lousy at looking out for cars while den was driving. haha...my mind was focused on other stuff instead. me & den had supper aft dropping ck & fel. i'm going to bug them to have another sleepover b4 term starts!! we can go for a night drive/stroll & have a nice midnight supper afterward!

results were just released. briefly, chinese did the worst!! such an irony, can't be bothered to elaborate. the teachers are just biased against me for constant absenteeism. urgh!

i've been missing for quite a while. looks like everyone's actively blogging these days, made me wanna post something too. hee hee :)

it's been more than 2 wks since i came back to sg. managed to keep myself busy almost everyday, going out, sleepover, games, etc. i've met up with grace & pear, dot, fel & den & ck, serene and bek so far, but there're still a lot of others i've yet to catch up with. guess it'll have to wait till next wkend aft i return from KL. when i get back from KL, den will be gone for bowling camp. though it's abt 1 wk b4 i'll get to see her again, it feels like a damn long time. haha...i'll go bug ck & fel to keep me company instead.

i've finally been to vivocity aft so long!! there were a lot of ppl walking ard, but it's not overcrowded. they have a lot of new shops like gloria jean's coffee & boost! sadly, i couldn't find the location of boost, though i managed to locate gloria jean's. they served banana bread at gloria jean's, except that it din look as delicious as i thot it would be. i hope they serve pear & raspberry bread there too, so i won't need to bring it back the next time. haha:)

brought my cousins out last thurs, it was both theirs & my first time. haha...den & fel joined us along the way. it just happened that starbucks was giving free drinks away tt day to raise charity funds and we took full advantage of it. i took 3 neoprints with my cousins, at heerens, cine & j8; and another one with den & fel at j8, the machine with a wind blowing feature. at times like this, i wish i had long flowy hair to blow ard and not stiff gelled hair. haha, later tt night, we had a sleepover at fel's place. we lasted till 6 in the morning playing poker games, chatted & played ard till 7am, sleeping till 11? the next day was for bridge & mahjong!! yes fel, tell ur mum we'll be back to play mahjong with her again!

yst i followed serene, her sis, bro & dad to his office. her bro did some copying; serene did the calculations while me & her sis had to count the no of doors required for a new condo. until yst, i had no idea wad business her dad did. haha...QS, i think it stands for quantitative surveyor, meaning they are in charge of monitoring the process of constructions. me & her sis had to stare at the condo's blueprints & count the no of doors needed for toilets, main doors etc. the blueprints were really blue paper...haha, i felt inspired to study architecture during my short stint. and i think i can go into the construction line now; i know what items are used to build a toilet, from the WC to the rope hook. lol...

we din do much work anyway. we went into the JB office at 10 plus, & went down for bfast. den, we played cards. we did some work along the way b4 we headed to serene's aunt's house for lunch-bak kut teh! haha...we slacked ard her house for a bit, returning to office only at 3 to do more work & play more cards. finally, we left office at 6 for the nearby pasar malam. wah, i really love the pasar malam there. they sold a lot of diff stuff compared to sg's version. there was a lot of food (think penang laksa, char kway teow...), fresh vege & fish, goldfishes, munchies etc...i'm super tempted to go in there every tues for the pasar malam. they brought me to buy dvds aft dinner and we finally returned back at 10 plus amid the woodlands jam!

tdy, den, fel & ck came over for dinner & choc fondue. there was a wide spread of food for dinner, from ang moh to jap. by the time we had choc fondue, we were all stuffed alr. aftward, we played some bridge and i sent them back later (w permission from my dad only). i was super rusty, i din dare drive too fast. haha...it's been months since i last drove, but it felt good to be back on the road. and i made a wrong turn while trying to figure my way back!! haha...luckily there weren't many cars ard, except for the numerous taxis...

got no programmes lined up for tmr...maybe i'll get my mum to bring me shopping or sth...heh :)

i'm finally bbacckkkkk!! haha, i touched down roughly 1 wk back; and i juz got back from malaysia over the wkend!!

there was a small airport hiccup on my way back. i had over 40 kg of luggage which def din pass the limit. i overstuffed my laptop bag with chocs and with a bit of luck, i managed to escape paying overweight baggage fee. whew...soooooo thankful for tt!!!

went to malaysia with my uncle & cousins over the wkend. omg...we ate like pigs...bfast, lunch, dinner, supper....my uncle really loves his food; he bought a LOT of food for every meal, including supper. i'm so stuffed aft every meal. but it was good, though i feel rounder again, it's nice to juz eat, shop and sleep and not worry abt anything else!
