it's the wkend again...time to venture to downtown sydney...
me & my mum (the ladies duo) headed for paddington weekend market at oxford street. while changing buses at hyde park area, we stumbled into st mary's cathedral at hyde park area. the architecture was really magnificent, and that caught my attention. the inside was very huge and grand, feels like the vatican city. once i stepped in, i felt a kind of spritual emptiness, a gentle reminder of how long i've been absent from church. the atmosphere was really soothing and calming...a nice place to relax the senses...we were real swakus, we din realise that hyde park was juz next to the church until we chanced upon this sign while crossing the park to the bus stop. so there, an unexpected visit to 2 tourist attractions in sydney we stumbled on...sounds like a fruitful day alr...
paddington's a confusing area, we lost our way, got down at the wrong stop and ended up having to walk quite a number of streets in order the reach our destination. the weather was esp warm today, managed to survive in a single layered top, long-sleeved. there were the usual few stalls peddling common and uncommon items, but in general, the goods here cater to a wealthier category. we stayed there for an hr only...nothing to shout abt...
aft the disappointing visit to paddington, we went to chinatown again since it was in the vicinity. this time though, we went to the factory outlets located upstairs of paddy's market. the clothes there were really cheap, branded goods at discounted prices. i saw this pair of levis at AUD20 only, but they only had 1 size which din fit me!! such a pity...anyway, aft the shopping, we had dim sum at one of the chinese restaurants...the prawns were big and fresh!! yum yum...haiz, but once my mum returns to sg, i won't be able to afford such indulgences alr...sigh sigh SIGH!
