happy new year!
2006 is gone and part of history alr...i spent countdown at my uncle's house and we managed to catch the fireworks both at marina and esplanade from the highest floor of his condo. sadly there were 2 tall blocks of apartments obstructing our view. most of the time, we could only see the colours around the fireworks and the occasional fireworks shot higher into the sky...at least we managed to see it live without having to squeeze with the crowd...
tdy i went out with fel & den to k box. haha...it's been a really long while since we've got there together...as usual, time seemed to run out v quickly, esp at the end. there seemed to be so many songs to sing, but limited time left. haha...aft tt, it was bugis shopping...i suddenly feel tt i'm spending a lot of money whenever i go out, haha...i'm such an ex kid to raise!!! doesn't matter, money can always be made back in future...
this is the time of the year when ppl normally do their reflections...guess i shud do some too. :)
it has been an eventful year. plenty of ups and downs, good & bad. firstly, we finally said a big,
real goodbye to JC life, and moved on to the 6 months break of pure slacking. 3 months into it,
exam results were released, which was a huge relief for all of us!! however, this also meant
dat it was time to search for a suitable uni & an appropriate course...
den somehow, den, fel & i ended up in diff unis...lol...fel went to nus, den went to smu. they both
remained in sg, while i left for aus. it was one of the toughest decision i've ever had to make.
and till now, i do sometimes wonder how diff life would be if i'd chosen to stay. for e 2nd half yr,
i spent it studyin in aus, in a diff env, culture, atmosphere...i saw a lot, learnt a lot over there,
n now i'm back in sg for more than a month alr...been playing since i returned, the hols would
end b4 i know it and it'll be time to go back...haha...oh ya, almost forgot it's the first time i held
down a job for 4-5 months...a pretty huge achievement!!
played thru the entire yr in fact, thru work, sch & hols...hee :) sch will get progressively harder
over the years, but we'll juz take it 1 step at a time...the most sig thing would be shifting to aus,
it was a tough time for me, my family & everyone else. there were a lot of 1st times...laundry
n washing, cooking, bedsheets...urgh...i can't stand doing household chores as much as else out
there! haha :) but i meet a lot of ppl in aus, diff backgrounds, races, cultures, ages and
languages...i really wished i learnt more languages when i was younger so i could converse v
easily...though eng is a huge bonus alr...haha :) and all this travelling back & forth makes it feel
so much like a perpetual holiday!!! muahaha. i'm also free & totally independent over there,
sole ranger, complete freedom!!
ok, not much of a reflection...wrong timing & mood to do reflection now...lol...the mind's fixed in the play mood, everything tt's coming out is juz abt play, play & more play...
argh...i dun wan time to pass so quickly though...
