daily lunch update:
lots of weird customers tdy; some wanted to provide feedback, others wanted a further discount on the sales charge...haha, weirdos eh?! but ya, tdy's fri, the whole office seems pretty slack. alr, 3 ppl's on mc for tdy, and the phone's been pretty quiet so far...haha...anyway, tdy's my first official full day at work!! not v exciting, i'm counting down to knock off alr, lol...gng for dinner with my mum later to thank her for helping me with the new yr baking stuff, heh, ain't i such a fillial daughter?? lol:)
back to the driving test...oh man, i was a wreck prior to the test! the tester maintained such a stern and serious look on his face the entire while, as though i'm not yet frightened enough. there were 13 of us in the room, and we balloted to get the tester and route. b4 setting off, we were allowed a sneak peak at our designated route...haha, come to think of it, 8 is really a lucky no!! lol...while getting into the front seat, my heart was pumping as a turbo-charged rate! haha, but somehow, when the car moved off, i calmed down immensely!! amazing!!
the tester was super impatient...b4 i could tell him i was done parking, he told me to move off alr...haha, and so many times he got impatient with me for not overtaking!! lol:) he also warned me not to look at his marking scheme...phew...when he told me to move out of the circuit, i got a shock, cos he hasn't asked me to do any emergency brake yet!! then on the main road, i made some silly mistakes...i was at this traffic light, waiting for the colour to turn green, my car was parked on the right lane. so i thot, hmm, i better keep back to e left lane when it turns green, lest i get marked for lane hogging...when the lights turned green, and i changed lanes like my instructor taught me to, i realised tt i made e dumbest error, cos in front of me was 1 straight row of parked cars, blocking my way and i'd haf to filter to the right again!! so i turned on my signal, and tried to lane change. behind me were 2 cars. i let the 1st one pass, but i assumed tt e 2nd one would give way to me, so i juz turned into the lane!! then while driving back to the test centre, i made a huge turn to go in.
upstairs, he was toking to me first b4 giving me e final verdict. i was super panicky, cos he din do the u-turn with me, so i thot i muz haf failed on the spot! then he complained abt e huge turn i made into the centre, plus e horrible lane change earlier. then while he went on abt it, he suddenly decided tt i shud get more demerit points, so he marked an extra penalty on the sheet for me!! oh man, when he did tt, i thot i was a goner alr!! haha, seriously, cos we missed so many criteria, plus he kept giving me demerit pts, on e spot even! luckily, when he finally finished, he decided tt i'm overall quite a gd student, so he decided to pass me!! hahahahahahaha, NO more driving lessons to go!!!!! yay...i can drive on the road alr k, dun play ah!! haha...my tester juz looks strict, but is act a nice guy...lol:)
oh ya, aussie open. hingis's winning, at least she's thru to e 3rd round now!! yay...no one expected her to go this far k...and she's much better now than b4. it's evident tt she's really put her heart into her tennis now, and not like b4. every stroke she makes is filled with determination. she's also added some power into her strokes...and she's such an unpredictable player...drop shots, drives, lobs, she's e best man!! haha, if only she was born earlier into the pre-power-pack-era, she'd have become a legend alr!! haha...but anw, it's gd tt she's back:) heh, henin's thru too!! so all's gd:)
