had a a2 class party tdy, a mini one i guess.
very few ppl turned up, prob abt half e class...i was a co-organiser, n i juz can't stand those who din turn up w/o a valid reason. those who r overseas r excused...but those in sg, i juz dun understand y they couldn't come. it's not easy to organise such stuff, n besides, how often do we haf such a gathering?? e least e rest could do, is to at least confirm whether they're coming or not, or try to make it if they're free!! ed din turn up, cos she's always not replying her smses!! can't stand it when she doesn't re smses...n dot, she din wanna come, cos she wanted to stay home to do her essay!! wad else is new?? juz can't be bothered to bother myself w her matters anymore...
lisa was angry at e initial part cos me, jas n dot din confirm w her abt our stayover...but aft a while, she loosened up n things were back to norm betw us. e highlight of e day was christina n her bf!! haha, grace managed to persuade her to bring him along, n he actually turned up!! he could recognise me n grace...haha, cos of e embarassing things we did on wed!! so paiseh la!!
went with lisa to do a little shopping while waiting for e table to be ready...bought myself a new hat n a pouch...haven't had e chance to shop in ages!! i feel so deprived alr...finally when we got a table, although everyone was seated together as 1 big grp, we could still feel e segregation...w doreen n gang, it still felt v awkward, cos we haf nothing much to relate to each other abt...luckily i had lisa for company, otherwise i'd juz rot to death over there...oh ya, n e best part of e evening came when we went to pay e bill...haha, marche forgot to charge us for e roasted chicken, n e bill turned out to be cheaper than i expected it to be...duh!! haha, a stroke of gd luck eh?!
yest was tt nationals, 1st match vs sajc...we had our chances, but we missed it i guess...we lost 5-0, but i guess everyone put their best foot forward, juz tt they were all still relatively new n inexperienced...n their nerves couldn't handle e situation...of cos i wasn't fielded...my standard is more for leisure than for comp...haha, sent me will only throw my, n e sch's face...lol...table tennis's my worst racket sport, e bat is close enuf to a racket, juz minus e strings tt's all...similar frame n all...my strokes r all a rojak of badminton, squash n tennis!! it's juz not my forte...haha, cos i dun haf much patience, plus my foundation is weak. my strokes now r built up on mostly squash n badminton strokes, tt's y its so hard for me to convert to e table tennis strokes, cos they're all so diff in nature...plus i'm so used to e other strokes, unless i'm really a multi-talented sports player, otherwise u can make me forget my previous strokes, it'll be so hard for me to accept e table tennis strokes n excel at it...also, it's a totally diff strategy tt players use...so in short, i'm juz not cut out for table tennis!! haha...man, i really wish i stuck w badminton last time, n none of those things happened in e past!! watching e tt girls play their doubles match, i really wish i had a doubles partner too, esp in badminton...it'd be so fun...to be able to haf someone to work with u thru e match, someone u can rely on, who can back u up when u need support, n e esctasy of victory will also double!! haiz, now i wish serene yeo was back in sg to play badminton with me!! argh, i'm so jealous when i see them playing doubles...
took me 2 whole hrs to get back from chung ching aft e match...can't they hold it at a more central location? instead of katong?? can't they spare a thot for ppl living in e west?? fell asleep immediately when i got home, din wake up till 9 plus...then went out for supper, heh, so sinful...
